At a press event in London today, JR Wellington Group announced a reorganization within their company that will allow JR Wellington Sports Management to operate more independently. To head the organization, Eadburt Clement, the President at Uxbridge Town AFC has been promoted. His new title will be Vice President of Sport & Recreation for JR Wellington Group and Director of Football for the Sports Management division.
Wellington Group CEO Geoffrey Wellington noted that Clement was the clear choice for the new role. "Mr. Clement has served very well as the President at Uxbridge" said Wellington. "Now, as our football operations require more attention and leadership, we felt that now was the time to restructure. This move will put someone with proper football experience in a position to provide direct support to our three clubs."
Clement also gave a brief address at the event, looking forward to his new role. "I have now spoken with the Presidents of the other clubs, and feel that we are able to have an open dialogue" said Clement. "And with me in this new position, I feel that we have the resources and infrastructure available to really move our ambitions forward. I made it no secret that I wanted to get to a championship level when I was at Uxbridge, and my goals are no different in this new role. It's an exciting time ahead."
